hey man I'm running a Vengeance VRX5, which ron at Vengeance told me is one of their most popular "larger" cams. I have been very happy with mine so far.

My setup is VRX5 cam, TEA Dual Gold Valvesprings, 7.400 hardened pushrods (stock length), ported LS6 oil pump, and LS2 timing gear/chain.

Alright thanks a lot man but i will be running stock heads and stock internals so would the cam work good with that setup?

With my thunder racing tr224 (224/224 .563/.563 112 lsa) my car ran 11.90 Raced so many big head/cam cars that made way more power than i did but the majority of the time beat them. The smaller cams are great for the street becasue they start making power lower in the rpm range and help with the torque curve. I had a ls2 timing chain and didn't have any problems out of it, even after the blower and 630rwhp. Did you talk to the guy you bought the bumper off of? He has a 05 m6 gto with heads/cam, fast 90 and ran 11.80.

yeah i talked to him for awhile and he told me about his car. i figure i will do the cam, full exhaust, my bolt on's now, and maybe heads after awhile. what car do you have?

I have a 2000 camaro ss that was a stock shortblock with that cam,valvetrain upgrades, no head work, built m6 trans, moser 12 bolt w/4.10's, and full suspension besides the k-member and a-arms. Then this time last year I put a D1sc procharger on it and made good power. I ran a best of 10.66@128 w/1.51 60ft. Theres a couple pictures in the new people section of my car on its old set-up.

i believe we have met before if you live in Springfield. I drove my cousin up there to buy an ls6 intake manifold from you and i drove a red ls1 gto with the 05-06 hood. Your car is badass and the way you described it sounds like the one i looked at but If your not that guy sorry lol.

Same guy, thats crazy! Now i see why you wanted that bumper yeah I hope my new set-up runs a little better than the blower. Guess we will see sometime soon. Sometime this summer you should come up to springfield and bring a few friends with cars

yeah i thought it was you lol but yeah i had to get rid of my gay bumper and get the good looking one. But im sure your new setup will work out awesome!! yeah i will defintely come up for sure and bring some buddies. Me and my cousin came up awhile back and had no clue where to go but we found some rice burners and smoked em lol. But i got Matt's (i think thats the guy's name with 05 GTO) phone number and im going to hit him up when i come up there we can all go race or whatever lol
